Central Georgia Technical College admits students regardless of age, sex, race, national origin, color or handicap.
- Submit a completed
application and a $20.00 non-refundable application fee.
- Request In-state Tuition – Submit a document to verify your lawful presence in the United States. This is a new Georgia requirement!
Upon submitting an approved document for lawful presence in the United States, your application will be reviewed for determination of in-state residency status.
Any student, who cannot provide the appropriate documentation, cannot be considered eligible for in state tuition.
In-State Residency Eligibility is determined by the residency questions on the Admissions Application.
- Submit an official copy of a high school/GED transcript or prior college transcripts documenting completion of program-level mathematics and English. An official copy of a transcript must be delivered to Central Georgia Technical College in a sealed envelope.
A high school diploma/GED is required for all programs.
- Submit to COMPASS testing or provide the Office of Admissions with valid SAT, ACT, or CPE scores. Transfer students will be admitted as program ready, provisional or developmental based on the coursework completed at the previous institution. Transfer students will be admitted in good academic standing upon their initial term if their standing at the previous institution was good standing. In all other cases, they will be admitted on academic probation. To obtain good academic standing, transfer students must satisfy the conditions of CGTC's academic progress policy.
